About Your Physician
Dear Fellow Human,
I am so glad you are here.
Even if we were never to meet, I’d still be glad. You found our website because you are searching for safety, be it in your body, mind, spirit, or all three. You being here means you know it matters where you take these three treasures, and to whom you trust them with. In my experience, this is the most important part of healing, for no true healing can take root without trust and the experience of unconditional safety. This is doubly important when we are experiencing a distinct lack of safety in our bodies, be it due to pain, dis-ease, discomfort and/or the stressors of modern-life and the lasting effects of trauma.
My training, practice and experience has afforded me the gifts that come with being uniquely suited to meeting people exactly where they are and building a better path forward, together. All while cultivating safety where it feels lacking. Eight years working and teaching exclusively in a premier Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization mental health program has given me invaluable experience on the complicated intersections of the body/mind/spirit - and the complicated health concerns that often co-exist alongside (and because of) trauma, distress, burnout and the like.
I am a certified somatic bodyworker, trained & licensed in the art of Eastern Medicine (acupuncture, manual therapy/massage, herbal medicine, and more), Tao of Trauma (Somatic, Trauma Informed Healing), Biofeedback, Movement Therapy (Qi Gong, Yoga, Functional Movement) & Mindfulness (Mindful Self Compassion, Buddhist Psychology, Loving Kindness).
My passion for healing began its cultivation from a very young age, having experienced the multitude of traumas that often exist for an (at the time) undiagnosed Autistic woman navigating a world not created for her. My drive to heal led me to one of my greatest teachers, a Lakota Elder willing to share his teachings, doing his part to help heal suffering in the world. Through the Sacred teachings of his lineage, I found safety, trust and recovery. Along the way I had the honor to be trained in how to create a safe container to help others heal and understood that it is not me that heals them - that would be ego - instead, it is my honor to create the safest of environments for them to learn to heal themselves. It takes safety in relationship to heal our relationship to ourselves, our bodies and the awesome animating force that is often referred to as the spirit.
I am honored to be here with you, and honored that you’ve found me. No matter where you ultimately choose to take your one precious self for healing, I wish you ease, happiness, safety and connection.
Very Truly Yours,
Ciarra Pingarrón, LAc, BCB
Our Offerings

Ancient medicine meets modern experience. Eastern medicine is the original home for Acupuncture, Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage), Fire Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxibustion, and Traditional Herbal Medicine. CP Somatics utilizes whatever combination of modalities is required to achieve the best result - no up charging. Tao of Trauma and neurodivergence informed bodywork means that you will receive your physician’s undivided attention - no running back and forth between rooms, no crinkly paper-covered tables, no saying ‘yes’ to something you’re not sure about just because “the doctor knows best.”

Often this happens within the scope of a bodywork session. You come in for pain in the neck. Not only do you leave with some immediate relief from the bodywork, but you will likely also leave with micro-doses of mindfulness training customized specifically to you (and what you need support in).
This training can expand into full 1:1 sessions that are specifically tailored to your need: stress relief, pain management, distress tolerance, self soothing, sensory integration, and more.

We are happy to share that we offer in-home services, because sometimes being in your own nest is the best place to feel safe to receive.
We also proudly partner with local Retired Living Communities, offering vital human connection & pain relief to our honored Elders.

First developed by Alaine Duncan, LAc, SEP, Somatic Trauma Processing, professionally known as the “Tao of Trauma,” is a system of trauma healing that emphasizes working with how trauma gets stored in the body.
Trauma, in all it’s forms, leaves a lasting imprint upon our nervous systems. From the programs and techniques we develop as a natural response to stay safe, to the ways we carry pain and suffering in our bodies. Not all of these “programs” are created equally, and some end up causing us unintentional pain - emotional and physical.
Somatic Trauma Processing aims to learn where we hold these traumas in our body and support us in unraveling them to achieve relief. It is a unique bodywork modality in that it is healing that extends well beyond your time on the massage table. Working with resourcing and your body’s innate ability to heal itself, Somatic Trauma Processing teaches us how to “feel it to heal it.”

We specialize in bodywork that is tailored to those who are pain sensitive and/or struggling with sensory overwhelm that often accompanies life in a neurodivergent nervous system.
We tailor each session to meet your specific needs each time we meet, all while maintaining a high rate of efficacy.
Autism, ADD, ADHD and SPD (sensory processing disorder) can cause issues with sensory integration - aversion to touch, sounds, lights and more. This is not a failing of the nervous system, but rather a neurodivergence that results in the inundation of too much information at once.
Neurodivergent nervous systems tend to experience less of what is called “synaptic pruning:” a natural brain process that removes weak or unused connections (synapses) between brain cells so that important pathways can grow stronger and function more efficiently. Less pruning means more information, which can feel like an overwhelming flood of neural input. This can make it extremely challenging for the brain to sift through the onslaught of information coming in at any given moment. Where some nervous systems can more easily filter through this information, neurodivergent nervous systems must sift through exponentially more information, often leading to feelings of overwhelm and disconnection.
These issues, while most prominent in neurodivergent populations, also exist for all neuro-types/humans due to the intense stimulation that modern life entails. Societal evolution moves inherently faster than human, neurobiological evolution. One of our favorite analogies for this is that it feels like operating a Window’s 95 system in today’s intense, hyper-connected world.
We aim to support these needs with sensory-oriented care that is specific to you and supportive of these important needs. With the right approach, bodywork becomes a training ground for self-advocacy, awareness training (helping the brain to differentiate important from unnecessary information) and feeling more at-home and safe within the body.
